After a beautiful weekend of almost 70 degrees, its a rainy monday and the goats are not happy. As usual, the animals are patiently waiting to be feed and forage for leaves, but the rain has put a damper on their plans. Every morning they get wheat bread and corn with a little fruit and they get so excited when I enter the goat barn. Spoiled barnyard animals are words that describe these residents. One of the Rhode Island Reds named Poncey has decided that she wants to roost on the hay rack in the goat barn. At first I worried about something attacking her, but I decided she was happier being an independent chicken.  Everyone had an exciting weekend with many visitors to the farm and that's why I think they are so friendly.
